Kevin's birthday was awesome!

Many thanks to all the friends and family who came over and helped celebrate Thanksgiving, and Kevin's birthday. We all had a great time. Kevin really enjoyed his cake and presents and I think he really enjoyed playing with his cousins! In the next few days we will work on posting some photos and a little video of Kevin eating his birthday cake. Many thanks to everyone who helped make this day so memorable!

Our couch has a storage compartment under the arm rest, it was only a matter of time until Kevin found out that he could lift it up and get in it. Here is his adventure getting in.

Wurstfest

Today we went down to Wurstfest in New Braunfels and had a great time. Kevin took his first carousal ride. He also got to taste a turkey leg, funnel cake, and potato pancake. Steve even played one of the carnival games and won Kevin a cute blue dog. We also got Kevin a Wurstfest hat. He wasn't quite sure about wearing it, but he liked it when others wore it for him. There was alot to see and do and Kevin had a great time.

It was also a great time for us too. We got to hang out with friends and my mom and drink some beer and just hang out. It was a really good day!

Kevin's first haircut

Today we went and got Kevin's hair cut. We went to Snip Its, in Round Rock, where they specialize in cutting kids hair. They gave him a certificate of bravery and gave us locks of his hair for his baby book. Kevin did a really good job. I was a bit nervous, but he was cool with everything. He wasn't quite sure about the sitting still part, but we managed to keep his hands under the "giant bib" so he couldn't interfere or get cut. He did still wiggle alot, and by the time we were done, he had wiggled himself backwards in the chair. It was pretty funny. Pamela who cut his hair was very quick and efficient. She also had fun with him too, which really helped. It is much shorter now and shouldn't get too much food in it anymore. But there is still a bit of a curl in the back which is cute.

Happy Birthday to me!

Many thanks to everyone who has sent me warm wishes for my birthday. Today was a great day, even Kevin was on his best behavior. Kevin also really enjoyed opening my gifts for me, although he was a bit scared of the tissue paper. :-)
