We also tried out a little kids toddler park in the area, and Kevin seemed to enjoy it. He really liked the kids slide. But he still hasn't figured out what deep water is and likes to jump in anywhere. Unfortunately he isn't allowed to wear his inflatable arm bands, so he isn't as buoyant. For me it wasn't as much fun, I was constantly on my toes, and felt a bit stressed chasing after him and making sure he didn't get hurt.
Also Kevin has a new infatuation with the toilet. Now he likes to sit on it. So I have decided to be a bit proactive and get some potty training items in place. I really don't think he is ready, but I am going to encourage his behavior. I am also learning that with this sitting on the toilet also comes with pulling the toilet paper off the roll and sticking his feet in the toilet bowl.
This week at our church is Vacation Bible School. The theme is Crocodile Dock. I am volunteering in a little workshop called Chaddar's Theatre. Chaddar is a chipmunk that is involved in VBS each year. I am learning so much from the preschoolers that we see each day. They are so full of energy and ready with a smile or giggle. It is a blast. A bit crazy at times and I am exhausted each day when it is over, but it is also a lot of fun.
