Happy 16 month birthday!

I can't believe Kevin turned 16 months old yesterday! To bring in his birthday he had his new friends Taylor and Lexi hang out with him.

Anne, our neighbor, had her brother and his family in town this last week. Her two nieces Taylor and Lexi just fell in love with Kevin, and he fell in love with them too. He had a lot of fun playing with them last week. Yesterday Taylor was really hoping to get him to do his scrunchy face. She thinks it is the cutest. She also let him play with her sun glasses. Here are a few pictures.

This is the scrunchy face that Taylor likes.

Happy Birthday Phillip and Emma!

This past weekend we went to Galveston to celebrate Phillip and Emma's birthdays. Emma turned 2 earlier this month, and Phillip turns two at the beginning of next month. To celebrate we all went to the beach, ate lunch while playing in the surf. And after a few naps we ate cake and opened presents. We had a blast! Here are a few photos, the rest are in my picasa gallery.Kevin playing in the sand

Yea! It's a sling shot too!

I wonder how it tastes if I eat it from the middle?

Tasty stuff. I should eat this more often!

Pickle Pants Pottery party

Today I hosted a Pickle Pants Pottery party. It is this awesome party where parents and kids come over and select pieces of pottery. The owner then takes hand or foot prints of the kids and paints them onto the pottery selected. In a bout 6 weeks she will fully decorate the pieces and they will be ready for us to pickup. She does amazing work. For our family I got us a great large serving platter. It is decorated with the 12 months around the edges and Kevin's hand and footprints in the center. I also got Steve a coffee mug for Father's Day. Sorry I won't tell you more about his because it is a surprise.

To enjoy the party we had several friends and their kids come by. It was a great time. The parents liked picking out their pieces and the kids had fun playing. Here are a few pictures I took.

15 month checkup

Kevin and I had his 15 month check up today. He is doing great! He weights 25 pounds, he has slightly lost weight, but that is due to his active nature. He is also 30 1/2 inches tall, growing 1/2 an inch in the last 3 months.

He really hated to get weighed, in fact he cried and screamed and wouldn't let go of me or the nurse. In the end we had to weigh me holding him and then just me to get his weight, so the 25 pounds is fairly accurate but not as accurate as the electronic scale. He also really wouldn't stay still for them to measure his height, so that may not be too accurate either. :-)

They did run a little blood work because last time we were there and he was sick he was a bit anemic. The good news is that he isn't anemic anymore. They figured he was probably anemic then because he was sick.

It is my goal to get some 15 month photos posted soon.
